Dassault’s Falcon 10X on Track for 2027 Certification

Development Progress Despite Past Delays
Dassault Aviation’s highly anticipated ultra-long-range business jet, the Falcon 10X, remains on schedule for certification in 2027. Despite earlier setbacks caused by supply chain disruptions and the COVID-19 pandemic, the program is advancing steadily. Current efforts include extensive stress testing of the airframe and successful testing of the Pearl 10X engines developed by Rolls-Royce.
Unmatched Range and Market Positioning
The Falcon 10X is designed to offer a remarkable range of up to 13,900 kilometers (7,500 nautical miles), allowing non-stop connections between cities such as Paris and Santiago or Los Angeles and Sydney. Positioned to compete directly with Bombardier’s and Gulfstream’s latest models, the 10X will play a key role in the growing ultra-long-range business jet market.
Strong Market Demand and Order Book
Dassault reported an increase in business jet orders in 2024, securing 26 Falcon orders compared to 23 the previous year. The total order value rose to €2.56 billion, with 31 Falcons delivered, including the first Falcon 6X to Swiss-based Take Off Aviation AG. The company closed the year with a delivery backlog valued at €43.2 billion, underscoring strong market demand.
Growing Interest in the Asia-Pacific Region
The Asia-Pacific region, particularly countries such as Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam, is emerging as a major market for ultra-long-range jets. Jean-Michel Jacob, Dassault’s President for Civil Aircraft in Asia-Pacific, emphasized the growing appetite for aircraft capable of nonstop intercontinental travel, highlighting a strong future for the 10X in the region.
Innovation in Cabin Comfort and Avionics
Beyond performance, the Falcon 10X is set to deliver an exceptionally spacious cabin, cutting- edge avionics, and the latest in-flight technologies, aiming to redefine standards of luxury, comfort, and operational capability in business aviation.
